If you find the Corail extraction bolt just wont thread into place then ask for the Ipswich IM or Coremus IM nail extraction system.
We have used this system many times with the sliding hammer to remove a Corail implant and its a great option to try during the revision surgery.
The Coremus P5 bolt has the same thread and pitch as the Ipswich bolt #1 but slightly longer lead in to reduce cross threading.
It gives a secure fit - another option is to use our Heritage instruments universal femoral extraction system with flexible chisels.
